Left 4 Dead Sneak Peak!

Newell said: “We will be releasing demos for both the Xbox and for the PC. I don’t know what the date is for release on that, though. I think it’s going to contain the first part of one of the campaigns. I think it’ll probably be Hospital but I’m not sure. That’s a decision that Doug Lombardi is making.”

You can also Gift the Game for the Holidays, I would like one to get and try it out so if you want to give me the Gift just send it to me via my email address.  According to Steam, you will haveto pre-purchase Left 4 Dead and then the Demo will be available for you a week before hand!! so that is one good thing!!  So go buy it and enjoy!!!  Also you will need to install Steam to enjoy the demo.

Obama Wins with McCain Leading the 2nd!

[ad#ad2-left]With Obama wining the Presidential Elections and McCain giving his concession speech.  We see a lot of potential going to be coming along.  I see the Democrats take charge of the US Senate.  I also see the House seats have gone to the Democrats.  So what is next for the next President, with the inauguration coming soon, what will the new president pick for the Chief of Staff.  I know he has some choices but which one will it be?

[ad#ad2-right]Some thing to consider with the Vice President is that it will be Joe Biden.  Now I don’t know very much about him but what I do know comes from the internet.  I wont’t say much because I don’t know much but I will direct you to the pages that I know about:

I will find out more in the coming weeks, but right now we are making history.  What is your responses on what happened?  Are you happy or angry?  Is the signs of even more economic instabilility?  These are all questions that we have to consider in the time to come!!

5 ways to improve your chance of getting hired.

Having seen the economy this week, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is time to redo all the important essentials and get all my ducks in the order as they say.   I’ve been thinking of how best to be ready in case the dreaded day comes when my employer no longer needs my assistance and what could I do to be prepared.

  • Get Someone to Critique your Resume — This is the most important step because this is the first place employers look when they want to hire someone.  So how do you get it critiqued?   Here are some good links to help you start off with:  Careerbuilder Critique, Mind of Root Peer Critique(Last until Oct 30, 2008).

  • Have your Resume Ready to upload to Resume sites —  You should always register at all the important resume sites just in case.  The Sites that I recommend are : Monster, Career Builder,  Hot jobs, Dice, US jobs, Best Jobs USA, Computer Jobs, and Nation Job.

  • Use your website as a place to put your Resume — Have your resume available in case some contacts you and tells you they know someone who is looking to hire people.  Have this resume hidden and only give it out to people you know.   This is also known as networking.

  • Network as much as possible —  There are sites out there that have made it easier to network.  Sites like linkedin.com, this site is great because of the 6 degrees of possibility as I call it.  You know someone, they know someone, and then you will both know the same one!!   This also will greatly increase your chance of an employer finding you.

  • For those who want to be Self employed —  I wanted to say that most people who want to be self employed know just how hard it is to begin with.  So I’ve got some interesting links to help start you on your way.   First link is Technibble.com Computer Business Kit,  This has Maintenance Sales Letter, Work Order, Marketing Analysis and Payment Overdue Letter. It is also a good idea to have an MP3 Advertisement that you can give to podcast and throw them the link to it.  You will need to market yourself to the public in ways that no one has thought of.   You will on an occasion have to spend money in order to get money, it’s always been that way but it seems to work.

The Anime Channel comes to Hulu

I was exploring Hulu and I see they added the Anime Channel.  I check it out and they have some good shows that I wanted to get add.  You see most Anime I like is, well Japan Animation.  Hulu adding that will make more Japan Animations be seen.  So What do they have available:

As you can see they are making channels for you to watch.  This is getting really good.  If you want to check out what channels they have just go to Hulu and there will be Scroll down bar called Channel.  I am thoroughly liking how they did this!!  I hope to see more Naruto in the future.  I hope they can get all the episodes and be up to where they are in Japan.  I am also hoping they start put the new episodes directly to Hulu.  That would be nice!!

How to Improve Hulu’s Advertising :

Lately I’ve been looking though Hulu and seeing what else they have done.  I’ve found a secret that most people don’t know or haven’t look at just yet.  If your tired of some of the ads that come through Hulu.  You have the chance to improve the ads by making your voice heard.

You can pick “Like Ad” or “Dislike Ad“

Although this isn’t anything new with some stuff.  This however can create even better ads for hulu.  You see if they can get the right demographic idea of what people like, then they will understand what we as a viewer likes.  I simply love this idea.  This is a tramendous step for Hulu, this means we have control over advertising, and we can make or break an ad depending on who likes it.

As you can see these are poping up on all or most of the ads.  If you would like to make your voice be heard.  All you have to do is when an ad comes to you and you like it or hate it just get out of full screen mode by hitting esc (only one time) and you too will see the choices when you hover over that area.
