These are the the links to go download the app that you will need for the IATA travel pass. I am not sure if the Google Play store app will change or it will still be that one in the coming months but it is definitely the one that looks to work the same as the apple store. Just surprised they used a different icon for the google app store.

When Can I join?

I answered this question the last time around and it still looks like it is going to be by invitation only. I am sure that it will open up quite soon to be able to use and get ready for the weeks and months to come to allow people to create an account for the near future that they are flying. I am sure it is still under trial in some airlines and they want to be as cautious as they can.

When will the Philippines open up?

This is my biggest question right now. As of last year the they have been on lockdown for over a year and no one could freely travel to the Philippines unless with a visa and certain requirements and or documents. They have said they are looking into the Philippines Airline Travel Pass and it seems they are still doing the trail for it until the end of May. This doesn’t mean they will not go longer or than May but I am hopeful that they start to relax the restrictions to allow foreign nationals and partners to come into country in the coming months. There have been speculation from friends of mine that it might June or July. I am thinking it will be August or October but this is all just speculation and will likely depend on what the Government will do.

Korean Air Travel Pass

According to some website they are doing the travel pass in May also from LAX to ICN and it seems to be about to start with the IATA travel pass. So I am hopeful that international flights will start to pick up and go places in the coming months. I still don’t know when the airlines will start to use the Travel Pass in full and how they will let the customer know they can use it or which flights it will be available on especially for the Korean Air but at least that is a step in the right direction. Although they seem to be just doing the outbound flights. I am hopeful they will start to do the inbound flights after they get done with the trial and to see what they may expect on the coming months.

That’s the latest!

I know this isn’t going to be a very popular post but if you are like me and wanting to be ready for the travel initiative to start and so you can just start the process of registering and creating the required documents that you may need for your flight. You can download and just have it on your phone for the time when you buy the ticket and get the invitation code to start the process of getting your identity ready for the flight ahead. You will just not be able to do anything with the IATA Travel Pass apps until you have the invitation but at least you will be ready for it when it is released to the public and or you buy a ticket to a flight that invites you to participate. What’s your thoughts on the IATA travel Pass? Do you love the idea or Hate it? Will you use it or not? I’d love to hear what your opinion is about the IATA travel pass. Leave a comment and tell me what you think.

How to identify your end users and why you should know.

Business-to-Consumer

Who are the End Users?

This can be so tricky to most.  Being in IT we can sometimes not know who the real end users but we can at least understand what they bring into the mix.   End users can be anyone who consumes the product(s) you are selling.   So they can be very tricky to some and not so tricky to others.  Small business are always going to struggle to keep their customers so they can keep doing business with them but in the end they are the end users.   So what or who are end users:

An end-user is a person who uses a commercial product or service.” according to Wikipedia

We see that the end user is someone who again consumes the product or services provided by companies around the user they can be as simple as a web browser to as big as a gaming platform.

How do you identify your End users?

Most everyone out here have those questions in one way or the other because they tend to want to relate to the end user.  Why would you want to relate to an end user?  This is a good question because if you can relate to the end user you can understand them even better and create a better user experience for the end user and that will in turn bring in even more customers to use your product or services.   This is why it is so vital to identify and understand the end users.   If we know what the customer needs or wants we can identify how to accomplish this.

How to interact with the end user?

This can seem daunting to some or easy to others depending on how we approach the problem.   Interacting with the end user can be good or bad depending on how you deal with the situation.   Let’s say a end user or consumer calls up and has a problem with a program or something they bought from your store or restaurant.   How you deal with an angry customer can keep the customer there or make them leave.   If we give the customers an excellent help and keep them happy they are more likely to stay and keep buying from you.

Summary

End users are anyone who buys your products and knowing how to deal with them can grow your business even farther than not dealing with them.  So what are some ways to do that?   Got any tips and tricks to do that?  Why not comment and tell me your experiences on this?  I’d love to hear the stories and how you handled it.  If you like this and other content please feel free to tell me and or tell me what you want me to change.

How to achieve your potential and your dreams

Potential by Nick Youngson CC BY-SA 3.0 Pix4free.org

Potential

The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.  – Tony Robbins

I once heard someone say this to me,  I wasn’t never sure what they meant by that when they said  it.   I’m sure we’ve all heard a saying like this in one way or another.   It seems people are always trying to motivate us to do the right thing and be more than we thought we can be.  We achieve our potential by continuing to do the things we desire and want.  We work for the end goal and that can be a simple as just getting through the day or week.   How does motivation affect your today is how you perceive it.  Is it something we constantly need to make it through the day or is it something to gently remind you from time to time.  That’s the real question because it depends on how you use the motivation in the day to day routines.

Motivation Strategies!

What’s your motivation strategy to get what you want?   Is it the desert at the end of the day?   Or is it the goal at the end of the rainbow?   People tend to think short term but I like to think the long term and the long term for me is to go for the goal at the end of the rainbow sort of speak.  We all have hard days and then we all have those really good days where nothing seems to go wrong.   We’ve got to remember that life is like a box of chocolate we will never know what the next day will bring.  This being said probably brings back all those memories of chocolates that you eaten.   My personal strategy is always going to be running toward that goals that I have and each one has theirs.

Taking Charge!

When I say that what comes to your mind?  In my mind it is all about creating that longing or desire to have a family and be with someone who will complete me.   Other however it can be a totally different idea or goal.   How we take charge is how we will succeed in life and if you realize that right now you can go anywhere!  We can take charge of our life just by how we make no excuses in the day to day routines.   It seems to be a constant problem in society right now.   We make excuses for everything and we need to take responsibility and make a change for the better.  What excuses can you stop using to get you to be successful?  What can you do differently to make sure you get to that goal? If you aren’t going to be truthful to yourself than you will never be successful.

Habits

One way we can be successful is to change our habits and create new habits that will keep us on the track that will make us successful.   Is there a habit that you can think of that you could change to modify to make you successful.  One of my best habits I can come up with for me alone is just simply being thankful everyday.   This one habit has helped me go far because most of the time we hear all the negative in the world and we just start feeling down.  I fight negativity with positivity and that seems to work for me really because I’m always trying to see the positive in people.  Is negativity stopping you?   Is it making it harder to get through the week?   I challenge you to wake up every day and find something positive in your life.   Go to the mirror and say I am thankful or I am blessed for [something].   These are the habits that will make you go far and get you to your dreams. What’s stopping you? Start Today!

How Mobile Apps have changed the world

Cell Phone Apps

I remember when we had these bulky cell phones and couldn’t do much with them but make phone calls.   Those were the days, but today we are going to talk about mobile applications and how they helped changed where were and and we are going.   I don’t say that lightly when I say it changed how we get to a place, I literally mean that.   Most people will not stop and ask for directions at a gas station or some dinner when they are traveling in a car to an unknown place or unknown route.  There were times when I felt a little foolish to ask someone for directions to a certain place in town because I didn’t have a map or know the lay out of the town or city that I’m in.   Let’s face it, how many have asked another human being for directions the past 10 years?  I’d wager very few or maybe none.   In the past decade we’ve become dependant on our smart cell phones.  Especially since, we can just say “Hey Google take me to [address]” or ask Siri what’s good  restaurants there  are in the area.   I dare not stop at that because we can do so much with our voice but l won’t talk to much about it.

Android

In the early days when this first 2012 it wasn’t very popular.   I say that because it wasn’t really integrated into the google but it was being used for searches for words and phrases.   You could tap a button and say what you’re looking for.  It slowly got better as it had developers wanting to modify the program to allow it to learn our voice structure.   They even came up with ways to learn our speech patterns and how we say certain words to be able to pick it up and understand what we want.   Let’s face it, 20 years ago when you were watching Deep Space Nine or even Star Trek The Next Generation, and you heard someone say “Computer” on the show.   You really didn’t think they would happen in real life.

Now we never realized, that something from a show becomes reality.   I know several times where asking Google a question got my answers.   I want to share with you some of my favorite questions to ask Google.  You could even lock your cell phone with voice command.

Ok Google!

  • Who’s on first?  What’s on Second?
  • What’s the weather like today?
  • Do I have any important Emails?
  • Do I need an umbrella today?
  • Show me my calendar.
  • Take me to a [Place]
  • Call Someone or say Dial a Number
  • Tell me about Siri
  • Read me a Poem
  • Set Phaser to Kill
  • Sudo make me a sandwich

Productivity

I’d dare say we’re more productive but it has enhanced my life because I can do more and know more stuff at my fingertips just by asking Google or saying what I need to do.    I’ll say that this was something we never really expected several years ago and thus we have went a long way.   I’d like to see what else technology has to offer us in the future.  I’ve always recommend people explore what your smartphone can do now and have fun asking Google or even siri strange questions.  You just might surprised what they say.

Some common question about the IATA Travel Pass!

The Iata Travel Pass

The Travel Pass

We are hearing more and more about IATA Travel pass and airlines adopting it.   I am sure there are so many questions people are asking and or want to ask.  I figured I’d answer the ones that are most common and try to give you some information that I have learned over time about the IATA travel pass.   I am no expert or am I affiliated with IATA in anyway but I am going to share my views and my thoughts on some of the most common questions people seem to have when it comes to the IATA travel pass.

Who’s going to be paying for it?

This seems to be a common question because most people are worried it will cost them to use the app for their flight.  It very well could cost you a little money in the future but for right now, I am sure the aviation industry is flipping the bill to encourage people to travel again and to try to get the public support on this.   So they may not require us to pay anything more than the cost of the ticket.   I seriously doubt it will cost much when it finally gets going around the world.   If by chance airline companies start charging for the use of this.   I can only imagine it being very small amount of money per flight because it will help reduce the load of having to verify peoples papers at the gate.

Who’s eligible for the Travel Pass?

I’m going to take a guess anyone and everyone who is of legal age and or adult.   That doesn’t mean kids won’t be bleto use that because I am sure if you have kids with you and you use the travel pass they will also be on the travel pass also to show to the gate personnel.  The reason I say this is that they want to test it out as broadly as possible so they will not limit who will be able to use this app.   The only condition right now is that you have to be invited into the process but that only means you have to buy a ticket for the flights that they are doing the travel pass on.

How can I know which flights are using the Travel Pass?

For right now, the only way to find out which flights are going to use the travel pass on any given airline is to try to find out through the airlines website and or calling them.   I am sure they will be more than glad to tell you.   I did try to go to a few airline websites that are doing the trials and it can be quite hard to find out which flights are doing the trials of the Travel pass on.  If you really want to know and be on those flights, I suggest calling the airlines that are doing these trials and ask for the flight numbers and booking your flights on those flight numbers.

I am sure even more airlines are going to jump on board in the coming months or weeks and you should see an increase of airline travels for international and even domestic flights.   I am hopeful that most places will open up this summer because they will see the value of this and the economy can begin to heal.
