*Keep coming back for updates, I will update every day if there is something to update*

*Saturday*

UPDATE: These are all Anagrams, so I changed these around to to show what they really are.  I didn’t think of an anagram.  Thanks to all who left comments.  if anyone can figure out the other two let me know.  I haven’t figure out two of them.  Thanks to all the people who have helped solved this puzzle!!  Great job all of you!!

*Sunday*

The Anagram “A Flake Mop Thing” is been vexing me to the fullest.  I looked in several different online solvers and still can’t come up with anything that is remotely a name of a movie or show that is in the US.  If it’s not going to be in the US I will have to make a robot to do all combination lookup for IMDB.  I’ll do a little more searching.  If someone figures it out, leave a comment for everyone else.

*Monday*

Jim in the comments figured this title out.  I really don’t know anything about this film but if you unmix the anagram that is one of them.  I think this is an independent film, so I am unsure who is distributing it here.  IMDB brings up nothing!!!

*Tuesday*

Yep, it was my bad.  I didn’t realize that the movie someone suggested didn’t have no F.  If someone else figures out the movie for Friday let me know.  I’d like to know what it is before hand.  I’ve tried several different Anagram solvers and still nothing.

*Update #2*

So after having a rough morning this morning.  I have decided that there is two possibilities the first of course was the  original one we thought of.  The second was suggested and It might be possible.  The name of this suggestion is Taking of Pelham any other ideas as to this one?

*Wednesday*

So it was a new show for today and not the movie.  I did not know they had that out.  What do you think?

*Thursday*

It was supposed to be “Liar Liar” so now we have to wait and see.  This morning I look and it says upcoming Hulu Debut.  So I will find out like the rest of you.  I am hoping, this is a system error!! I think it was a system error it seems to be fixed!!

*Friday*

The final one was “Taking of Pelham One Two and Three”.  Great Job everyone.  Now lets get the ready for the next set of clues!!!

Network Connectivity and Vista’s TCP/IPV6

So I’ve been having problems with Vista and Network Connectivity.  I’ve got a DSL modem that would from time to time just drop connection to the internet or at least I thought it was that.  So I’d check the modem everytime this happenes.  It would say I was connected to to the network but not be on internet.  I went searching and found this really good forum discussion on Verizon and DSL.  After reading all there was people were talking about the IPv6 protocol was the main culprit.  So I figured I’d see what happens when I disabled the IPv6 Protocol from my system.  It worked no more connectivity issues.

[ad]

How do I disable the IPv6 Protocol?

In order to fix this problem you have to do some simples steps.  Here is how I fixed it.   Right Click > Select “Network and Sharing Center” > “View Status” for either Wireless or LAN. > Properities

It will be here that you must do something important to get this to work right.  You will have to uncheck the  Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).  If you have both wireless and Lan.  You will have to do it for both of them.  There must be a problem with IPv6 because after doing this my system hasn’t lost connectivity and this is wireless.  You should also reboot your system to make sure it takes into account.  Uncheck it then press ‘OK’ and reboot.  After that you will be smooth sailing.  Although this is easy it is essential to note not all DSL modems are the same and it can be several reasons why it would be doing that for you but for me.  It was the fact that IPv6 isn’t fully developed and from what I hear from people it won’t be available for several years so right now in time, it isn’t any thing I can use right now.

[ad]

When are they expect to start using IPv6?

According to all I hear in the nextr 5 to 10 years at the earliest but some people estimate longer more on the lines of 15 to 20 years.  It will take a lot of work to make it available to all.  It has to be part of the whole internet.  It will take millions of dollars for it to be deployed.  If you have any ideas on how to get this to work on vista.  Leave a comment to better help others figure how to fix this.

How to Get advertisers to come to you!!

Lately in the past few weeks, I’ve had several Advertisers come to me wanting to advertise for there clients.  I’d thought I share you some of my experiences, in the hopes, that you too can get advertisers to come to you so I’d come up with some steps to better help you;

[ad]

  1. Don’t use Blogger.com — Yep that’s right, after recently moving from blogger to WordPress.  I’ve found that after the move, I’d start getting more people coming to my site.  I don’t know if it was something I did or if it was the platform that got me more business.  I think most advertisers think blogger is for amatuers or people who aren’t interested in revenues.
  2. Content is the Key — Having spent the last few months thinking how I can get people to come to my blog.  I’ve found this out.  If you make content that is specific to your area and not try to repeat what everyone else is saying you can get a high volume of people to come to you site.  I’ve also learned that Google is your friend and you need to use it to you fullest abilities.
  3. Social Media is the Key — That’s right find sites that are social media and use them for the fullest.  Some of my favorites are: Friendfeed, Disqus, Seesmic, Furl, Technorati, Twitter, Youtube, Tumblr, Plurk, and Facebook.  Although this isn’t the complete list this is quite a few and you will need to socialize as much as possible to get people to come to you site.
  4. Don’t be afraid to get your own ads — Yes your are correct you don’t have to wait for them to come to do you.  You can go to them.  Find some ad-services that will work for you and sign up.  Some of the ones I’ve checked out are Google Adsense, Crispads, and Commission Junction.  Having ads are your site lets advertisers know you are interested in having ads.
  5. Have an About me Page — Although this seems the simplest of them all.  Having that will have them be able to get a hold of you if they would like to offer some sort of advertisement on your site.  It does not have to be complete.  It does however, have to have a way for advertisers to contact you in case they are wanting to communicate with you.

[ad]

There ofcourse is more to the story but this will begin your journey into the world of ad revenues.  It is to be expected to have some bumps in the road, however hard or soft.  If you can get past the first few months with your newly created blog, and you start creating content, you will start to get ads coming your way.  If you have other suggestions on how to get ad revenues please feel free in leaving a comment and I’ll check it out.

Five Ways to Increase Email Productivity!

As time goes by there are always going to be problems with having Email and being productive.  You can have so much stuff going on in one day it’s not even possible to really have time to thoroughly check your email.  So here are some great steps to get some of your emails done with!!

[ad]

  1. Empty your InBox — If you don’t have control over your inbox maybe it is time to make sure it’s empty or at least all read!!  It’s true most of the time I don’t read all my emails, I pick and choose what I want to read.  After that, I decide to make all post marked at read!!  I call it the Panic button!!
  2. Organize your Inbox — Having been signed up for several different email groups.  I’ve got it all organized.  I’ve got a folder setup and used for each group.  I then create a mail filter for each group and have it put it there, unless it’s spam then I have it go into the spam folder!! (also see Email Filtering)
  3. Check your Email on Off peak Hours — Not having a lot of time can sometimes create a need to check your email in the morning or afternoon.  I rarely check it during the day.  So I get all my emailing done either in the morning or late night! As long as you keep in mind not to waste time with the emails.  You can get done with most of your emails in under an hour, unless you get more than 1000 a day, then it’s a different story.
  4. Automate Repetitive Emails —  Having been getting the same emails over and over that aren’t spam.  I’ve got a filter in place to automaticly send out a response to the sender and say I’ve seen the problem and am fixing the problem ASAP.  You too can do that with your emails system.  If you have something that can be automated do it.  It can save you time and money in the long run!!
  5. Unclutter your Email system — Yes that is right to much clutter slows down your chances of getting done with what you need to get done with.  I have done it and it greatly increased my speed in my emails.  Having been email for the past several years I find it essential to keep my email uncluttered!!

Although, All of these are lifehacker recommendations. I found the most important ones that I have intrigrated into my email performance and I thought I share them with you. I hope these help you in the long run. If you got a tip you would like to share by all means leave a comment!!

Understanding Hulu!

So I’ve had so many people tell me.  I’m wrong on some of these ones I say are coming out.  Just like last week the tiny URL was going to Dick Van Dyke Season 3 and they  replace it with the Facts of Life.  They used the Tiny URL system to give us hints.  Anyways, back to the topic at hand. <See July 14-19 Post>

This is all speculation and theories,  Read end of post for more details!!

Why does Hulu promise one thing and do another?

It’s really not Hulu’s Fault, They have a lot of things going on at one time.  You see when they give use a week of clues, they have made Tentative Agreements, sometimes it’s a written agreement with a clause.  They have a clause? Well let’s put this in terms you can understand.  If there is any reason from either the publisher, or Hulu, they can’t or won’t publish the movie or show.

What does this mean and how does this affect the clues?

Having these agreements they have a duty and a right to keep the publisher happy.  If you don’t keep the publisher happy, they won’t keep there stuff on Hulu.  Hulu will start to loose publishers.  This is why it is so CRUCIAL that they keep the publishers happy.  They have to worry about the quality and how they present it with the ads to keep the publisher happy.  This isn’t always easy because sometimes in the process of getting the video on HULU there’s flaws in the video or something is wrong with the video.

Like any data on a hard drive, you can get bad sectors to prevent a video from showing up right.  It can also be the case that sometimes the ads for the shows are not showing up or some other small problems on the videos.

How can I support what Hulu is doing with the videos?

That’s easy, make comments in the Hulu blog praising Hulu’s hard work.  Also make sure to praise the publisher too because they have to composite and transcode the video for Hulu.

What? Hulu does not do this?

Well in most cases, No!  Hulu has to worry about Copyrights, so they let the publisher do this.  This is speculation but I am sure this is a plausible reason.  The publisher does all this to make sure they have total control and so no unauthorized copies of the publisher gets out.

[ad]

So what does Hulu do?

In most cases, puts the file on there server and does some preliminary tests to make sure all is well with video.  I am guessing they get a DVD or CD copy of the publisher’s work.  This is for backup purposes, in case there is a failure in the server.  In the end, they only handle the end product like a Television studio.   They put it on the server and let it roll.

How do you know about this?

I don’t, This is all speculation and theories.  I don’t work for Hulu, or any of the publisher.  I do know how they think and act. All of what I’v said is my own work and what I believe is going on at Hulu.  I’ve not even talked to them about this because I understand how hard it is for them to talk to anyone.  They’d have a problem talking about this because they’d be worry about the publisher.  I am sure they are always going to worry.  The publisher is the one calling the shots.  They have the Right’s to do whatever they want with the video because when it comes down to it. They are the Boss.  I’m sure someone is going to tell me I’ve either dead wrong or on the Mark.  Either way, I’d like to hear how they do this myself.  I’d like to have an active conversation with them and find out all the facts, nothing but the facts!!
