I’ve Pretty Much Decided!

I’m going to probably go buy an Unlocked Cell phone from Amazon.  They have some Great selections of phones unlocked Cell Phones for under $200 (Amazon Affiliate Link).   I still have my old AT&T straight Talk sim that was used for the HTC Inspire 4g Phone.   Even though the LG Optimus F3 is not a bad phone, I was tempted to unlock it fully to use with Straight Talk.   I honestly thought it was better to go buy an unlocked phone that can be used for any carrier that I choose to use it with.

I’ve loved Android phones since, I started using them and will continue to use them but I have yet to enjoy the idea of Virgin Mobile US reducing my speed by a half to 2g speeds.   I’m really not happy with the idea of reducing my speed to that extent and I’ve been one of those that love Unlocked Cell Phones and no contract plans.   If the Sim from the HTC inspire can’t be used, at least Straight Talk still has options available to buy new sim cards for!!

I’m calling all readers on which phone I should buy under a 200$ and I’m really interested in which one you want me to review on this site!   Please leave a comment and tell me what you want to see me review.   I’m like the Motorola Moto G that is nice!  I am up in the air on this but I will have to decide soon! 😉

Reports are coming in that WPA is no longer secure!

According to a media reports, Erik Tews and Martin Beck claim that they have found a way to unlock the Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) key, used by WPA, to read data sent from a wireless router to laptop computers. According to the researchers, the key can be cracked in 12-15 minutes.

According to Sophos, they are claim that people can now watch what you are doing on a Wireless router to a laptop. Although this isn’t to be unexpected this is a very serious out come. It is now easier to watch what people are doing online. So does that mean people can see everything you do? Not necessary. According to some people this is harder than it seems, most of the websites you visit are not encrypted, but websites that use the “https” protocol are more safer to use online. You should be safe if you are buying things online as long as you are sure it is secure. Some other steps to take to help make it harder to unencrypte your wireless single is to use Roboform promotion codes you will get for 10% or 20% off the purchase price!!

If you have a wireless router and want to be secure with any transactions online you might think about hooking up to the internet via the CAT5 cable.  This is one way to prevent anyone from seeing what you are doing online and protects your privacy.  Although this too can be overcome in certain circumstances they are much harder to do and implement so you are safer this way than with most others.

Sprint Nextel agrees to start unlocking phones

An under-the-radar class action lawsuit against Sprint Nextel is winding its way towards a settlement this week, and it contains a pretty huge concession by Sprint: the company will unlock phones for both current and former customers, and will begin training its customer service reps on how to connect non-Sprint phones to its network. The settlement was tentatively approved by a California judge on October 2, but hasn’t had a final approval hearing yet, according to Sprint — but it’s still a huge win for US consumers, who haven’t been able to buy mainstream unlocked phones from any of the major carriers. Of course, since Sprint’s network is CDMA, unlocked phones will only work on other CDMA carriers like Verizon — and there’s no guarantees those companies will be happy about it — but at this point we’ll take whatever we can get.

Good news for those looking for a free solution to unlock an iPhone with the latest firmware version 1.1.1: help has arrived. The latest version of AnySIM now unlocks iPhone’s. More at CrunchGear here.

3 steps to Unlock the Iphone 4+ever

First step and this is the hardest part. DO NOT TELL Apple how you unlock the I-phone, by telling them you run the chance of apple finding a way to update the iphone before you can do anything with it. I say Apple Devteam needs to just be blunt with the media saying only the truth. Something like “Yes we have unlocked the Iphone, but can not tell you the exact details of how we unlocked it!”. Then they say “Yes we have 3rd party apps on the iphone, but again we can’t tell you how we did it!”. The more you keep the information out of Apples hand the more popular you will be with Iphone users.
Second Step is to come out with programs to do it, so apple has no way of getting the information until everyone gets the hack. That way Apple will have to spend money to find out how the devteam did this in the first place. I say the more Apple has to pay for this type of information the less they will worry about ATT. That is just the nature of business. If you can get the Cost of bricking the Iphone to high, I am willing to bet Apple will step away.
Third step is to come up with the next Possible hack and start exploiting it to prevent yourself from having to do this again, and to always have a backup. Just like hard drives the more backups you have the better off you are. I say keep ahead of Apple by coming out with more than one way to unlock the phone and that will help you defeat Apple and ATT. This is the only way to beat Apple at there own game, it’s a hard game. I do hope the Devteam is up to it?
