WandaVision Season 1 is like a Long Distance Relationship!

I’ll say this one this post will contain spoilers and you are there for warned ahead of time. Read at your own risk to finding out spoilers.

Beginning the Season

We start off in a 1960’s suburban home where everything is black and white and we see the newlyweds walking though the door after getting married.   A nice suburban couple doing everyday routines and nothing could be any perfect than two people who want to be together.   This starts off so wonderfully made and makes you think about your long distance relationship.    This is what everyone who is in a LDR to be like and want to achieve.

The Beginning of the season was tied to build the characters up and make the audience grow to like them in so many ways.   We find ourselves wanting to know more about how this came to be when we saw Vision dying in Avenger’s infinity war.

Season Progression

We progress into the first few episodes of WandaVision and see that things start to change from being 1960’s to 19070’s to even the 1980’s.   It starts to get a little different because we are progressing rather quickly from the beginning.   We see there are forces trying to get into the city through means that are rather peculiar and not normal.  We also get to see some people from the other movies such as Darcy Lewis best know in the Thor Universe as the assistant that tagged along with Jan Foster in the Thor timeline.   Which was cute for the movie theme and everything.

We also see Wanda having all sorts of abilities and see her do things we have never seen her do.   This pretty much brings her back to the comic book era because they have to explain to the movie audience why she can do what she can do without much thought or know how to do spells.   It seems they want to make the audience see who Wanda is in the comics and also I think bring the comic book audience into the show also.   So they are working at explaining her abilities in ways we never really got to understand until now.   In my book, I was always wondering how she could do what she could and now we are finally understanding that.

We also see she gets pregnant and have two boys all in the span of a few days or two weeks in the show.  I know it was unexpected but also we have to understand that this was her ability to create characters through her special powers.   It however brings me to thinking this reminds me of how couples who are in Long Distance might just be in this situation.   They have kids together and have this happen to them where they are apart and want the support of the other while giving birth or even parenting.

Season Ending

Finally we have a villian named Agnes, who teaches anda about her abilities and tells her she is the Scarlet witch.   This was nice to see and understand some of the things that was happening.   We have a really big fight scene against Agnes and Wanda.   We learn about what happened to Vision and even learn about some of the supporting characters in the show or movie.   In the end we also  see her give up the very things she created to let the people of this little town out of her fantasy she created.

We See in the end of episode 9 that she is saying Goodbye to vision and her kids and it reminds me so much of a LDR because just as we are about to get on the plane to leave we are saying those very words as we are about to leave.

“I have been a voice with no body. A body, but not human. And now a memory made real.” — Vision

(sighs)

“We have said goodbye before, so it stands to reason..” –Vision

“We’ll say hello again.” –Wanda

This made me think about all those LDr where we had to say goodbye.  I remember those times where we will say Hello all over again.   This just reminded me of how many times we said Hello in the long distance relationship getting off the plane to see our loved ones.   This season just kept reminding me of LDR’s.  I know I am not the only who felt this way in the past.  I know it was a reminder of things to come.   I fully recommend people checking this series out.

Finally I leave you with a thought.   If you had the powers would you go see your loved one right now?  I know my answer would be yes and without thought.

Unexpected Text message

Today I got a really interesting text from (347)268-9158 and the Message contained:

Eamon, Urgent alert about the USPS shipment 5K24F6 from 7/17/2020. Click : sj1v.info/[hidden]

I’ve always believed that you should never click anything that you didn’t expect to receive.   I was at work at the time so I decided to wait till I got home to try to figure out this out.   I did my usually searched for the message on Google maybe someone else commented about this also.   That came back with nothing.   So my next option was to see if I could find out where this url was going to so I went to a URL expander such as CheckShortURL because I thought it might be a shortened URL.   It couldn’t find out the expanded URL.

Deeper Look

I decided to check out this domain because I was curious about a url that didn’t look like a normal URL.  So I did a WHOIS Lookup with Whois.net and I got this information about the domain:

You can see some very important information about this domain.   For instances you can see when this was created which was a day ago.   It seems kind of strange to create this domain a day ago.   I have always said don’t click links.

Do not Click

I can’t express how much you should not click links that you didn’t ask for or from unknown numbers such as this.   I have my thoughts that it tries to compromise your phone and get a virus or something in your phone.   I serious doubt a new website would send me to a new site about an order that I supposedly did in June or July!   If in doubt always GOOGLE the number or google the message to see what others might have to say about the message.

 

How to Add #Loveisnottourism banner to your Social media profile pictures!

It’s effeminately a very powerful to tool to use to make governments see us and hear our pleas and demands.   Everyone has learned that over the years.   Yet I look on some of the social media sites and don’t see the profile picture being changed.   I ask myself why didn’t they change their profile picture?  I can only assume some people don’t understand that your profile picture even on FB can make a tremendous impact in what someone or everyone see’s about you.   They rarely visit your profile and check for updates.   This can be a good or bad thing depending on how you want people to per-sieve you.   If you are a business or have a business and use your social media to promote your business.   I can see why it will look a certain way.   Yet we loose the value of ourselves when we don’t make our profile more pronounced when it comes to our loved ones.

International Travel

On my previous post I talk about all the travel bans and where you could look to find out information about  what might be required of if you could get into the nationality.   The next problem we are dealt with is that we need to make sure every government hears our desires, and wants, and not be able to keep us quite!

Setting your Picture profile up!

Now that you’ve decided to change your profile picture you have a few options to add a small text around or in your picture profile to make sure people better know what it is you are wanting them to see.   Here’s a few options:

First Option:

You can go to Love Is Essential website and upload your profile you want to use and they will gladly put a text in your picture with “Love is not Tourism” banner.  See below for example of what it might look like.

Second Option:

I used Facebook and uploaded a picture and Told Facebook to add a Frame to it.   I searched for “Love is Not Tourism“.   Then I added that frame to my Profile Picture and Your done with that part.   Now if you want to use that frame with other sites such as Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, or any other social media just download the picture by right clicking on your profile picture and save image to device or Desktop.   You’ll need to view your Facebook profile picture and then you can easily grab it.   I personally like this one better because it doesn’t obscure your picture but people can see your profile picture.

Third Option

This option is for those who don’t have Facebook or wants to make it even personalized.   You can smartphone apps like Snapseed or other Picture edition apps for your phone device.  You can add your personal messages to any photo then upload them to all your social networks.   This way everyone can see your text and know that you are wanting your local governments to know where you stand on this issue.

Finally,  If you do this it will help your cause because maybe one of the important people on Facebook, or even some other social network will see it and put pressure on the governments to allow loved ones into the country.

International Travel Bans due to Covid 19(Sars-Cov-2)!

It’s Globally

We’ve all been frantically checking to see when we’ll be able to travel to see our Fiances, boyfriend, Girlfriend, or that Significant other! It’s been a mad house for us all! I’ll say it is hasn’t been easy since most places went on lock down March or April this year (2020). Thanks to Covid-19 we’ve all had to be by ourselves and that isn’t normal or right.

Where to Go?

Are you asking this to find out if you can go see your other half or just so you know if they can come see you? Either way the point of this post to help you find out which sites might be able to help you find out that information. Each government has their own regulation and requirements or are just not allowing foreigners to come into the country. This is all due to the over whelming need to keep the virus from getting out of hand. There are several resources you can use to find out if you can travel in the first place. I like to at least try to help those who might want to know keep track of the current world wide situation and if you can travel to a particular country and back!

I’ll be frank this won’t be a very long post because I just want to make sure you know where you can go to find out if you can travel and what you might have to do. The rest is up to you on how you do it. I strongly recommend going to each governments websites and see what they are allowing to come into their country and what they require to be able to get into it. Some are requiring 14 days of quarantine and others are requiring PCR (Up the nose) and IGGM (Checking to see if you been in contact with anyone who has had covid19) blood test! Either way it will be uncomfortable for you!

Let’s Start!

We will now talk about where you could go to answer all your questions on this:

  • International Air Travel Association (IATA) — Has a great website to see which countries are allowing you to travel to and from. It however doesn’t exactly tell you what is required to get into that country!
  • CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) — Has a good Travel Notices for those who worry about getting the virus while travelling. You can weigh it down to how much you might be at risk when travelling.
  • The World Tourism Organization — Keeps up to date what they know. This is almost a blog type of publishing. They publish new stuff every few weeks or when a countries come out of or goes into lock down. It however has limited amount of information but still good to check!

These are about all I could find and as such should at least start your journey and keep you updated on when you might be able to fly. If you are looking to get tickets to fly, Why not save some money and follow my tips on getting the cheapest plane tickets!

Understanding Passion in the workplace and why it matters!

Passion from someone else!

You’ve probably seen what passion or at least you understand the concept of two lovers who have a passion for each other but is that the only kind of passion?   We can only grasp that type of passion for some.    You can imagine two lovers entwined in each others arms and kissing.   They’ll probably even smiling and being so happy.   This is definitively one type of passion that we may have experienced in our lifetime.  We may never really understand what it truly is until we have it or we have lost it.  Although I rarely say this, you should never mix work with pleasure or even date someone from work.   There are too many ways it could go badly but people who are lonely or single rarely listen to the adage:

“Don’t eat where you poop!”2

I could go on and tell you other adages but that one has always been one that I hear more than once when people find out about co-workers dating.  Just don’t do it!

Should we have passion in the workplace?

This is a tough question to answer because there are so many ways people can think of when it comes to passion.   Is it physical, mental and even psychological?   What about metaphysical?  Can you be passionate about your job?  Is it even possible?

We can all imagine ourselves being passionate about something whether you are singing, dancing, writing, speaking, demonstrating or even talking customers about services you offer.   Nothing is written in stone when it comes to being passionate but there are a few differences that we need to talk about and they can bring more understanding as to why being passionate about your job is a positive way to go!

It’s a Driving force!

Being passionate about your job can leave a lasting impression in your coworkers mind and maybe even make them work harder for the same purpose or for the same passion.  You can imagine someone working hard to help another employee succeed because the feeling is so wonderful.   It can make a bond with employees when they work together.   Being passionate can bring a sense of self worth when you feel that passion from your coworkers because you want to aspire to be like them!   Passion will always be something that drives the workforce.   You will find that your employees will be happier and healthier and work even harder than you expected them to.

It’s a positively good feeling!

You may never have felt what it is like to be passionate about your job but when you find that one person who is, you’ll see just how the feelings of optimism and positive feelings will be overflowing.  It is almost the part of the process where your are over flowing with joy at doing a job that is much fun and enjoyable that you are giving other people the glimpse into that good feelings and that can help bring people together to work together on projects!
