Rumor is that Itunes will Remove DRM!

[ad#ad2-right]A report from last week brought to AppleInsider‘s attention by French technology site ElectronLibre asserts that it’s now “clear” Apple will spark new interest in its music store by removing DRM from tracks published by Sony, Universal and Warner on December 9th.

Although, this is somewhat unlikely I’ve got my own theories on this.  You see If Apple did this tomorrow that would be a BIG deal, due to the fact that Microsoft will be releasing there patches on the same day.  I find it would be a momentous occasion.

[ad#ad2-left]I can only guess why and the guess is just a guess.  If Itune’s did remove there DRM the same time as Microsoft Patch Tuesday, I’d have to guess they will co-inside because of the difficulty of using the DRM, Digital Rights Management, on other products.  For example, Windows Media Player .  If Apple decided to approach Microsoft and come up with a way to make sure all DRM is stripped this would be the ideal situation.   Although this is highly unlikely, I’d have to think Apple wouldn’t wait till tomorrow to strip the DRM.  They know Microsoft schedule.  We will have to find out in the coming days.

Hulu’s Summer clues — Unleashed Edition 2!

So we just got the new hints for July 21-25.  Just a little reminder, I might be woefully wrong but these are just my thoughts on what will come.   Now here’s the clues:

Now Those are the clues and I did my research for each.   So Lets see where we go with this:

As you can see, I said who have the rights to the movie or shows.  I also linked that to Hulu’s Company page.  If you can come up with other ideas let me know!!

So these are my guesses.  I could be wrong but I suspect these are the ones.  If you feel you have a better idea of what will come out by all means leave a comment or go to the Disqus community page and leave a comment there!! You can also email me and tell me your thoughts, just go to the About Me page and let me know!!

I will update this as needed!!  Just for those people who want to keep checking!!

Update:

For Monday : Like I said I could be woefully wrong on this, I Sure Was.  It’s not Dogma.  I thought they were trying to be indirect.  The Hulu TV show is Wierd Science 1985 Seasons 1 thru 2 is the connection.  I never like the show that much!! 😉

For Tuesday: They must have problems with the system because on the main page it says Pitch black and Summer page it says the Office.  Are they changing it for a reason?  I am guessing they had a system error or something like that and it is the wrong one!!

For Wensday: Yes I know, I am going to be wrong on the flintstones so after due consideration I changed it to to what it might be thanks to the help of a commenter on Disqus.  You should all join and talk about this if you want to help others figure out what it is!!  The more that talk about these clues the more chance on getting them right!!

For Friday: Yes they took that hint off for Friday.  They probably had a problem with it and had it fall through!  It’s an imaginary location in Texas where the dog lives!!  Oakdale, Texas, I’m certain it was that!!  So we will see!!!

*UPDATE* Friday: It seems they might keep the idea of a PBS release.  I am guessing it is going to be a documentary a National Geographic Release!

*Update* Friday: They finally released the awaited clue and it was something I didn’t know they had any affiliation with.  I’m bound to be wrong half the time!! These clues are not the best sometimes!!

*UPDATE #2 For Thursday* They seemed to have published the program details a little to soon.  If you go to the recently added page you will see ReGensis is already on it.  So I was right!!  I already updated the link for it, have fun!!  They Seemed to of hidden that I should of got a screen cap of that!! Oh well, maybe next time!!  The Link won’t work until after 12am PST/3amEST!!

Is HD Players Really Dead?

Now in an article I read Blue Ray Takes the Lead by a blog called ITola. I was reading this and had to ask myself some questions and try to figure out some answers.

Is HD Players really Dead?

My Answer is : “NO”

I don’t say that lightly for several reasons. Recently today Arstechnica states that Universal and Paramount h
aven’t changed there stance on switching to Blu-Ray. Now why is that a big deal, it just proves that there is something that Blu-Ray Founders don’t know . Here’s what I know, having thought about this for several days. If cable companies start offering Blu-ray HD movies in there service that is some major bandwitdth. Even though HD DVDS are 15 GB and Blu-ray DVD’s are 20 GB, Blu-ray Movies would take some time to download or stream it. Blu-ray would have to compresse the file into small pieces to even view the movie. Although HD movies are a little smaller they require less bandwitdth and in doing so are faster and easier to watch on Hulu and other sites like that. They have a HD Gallery that is really nice to watch on my intel and seems to work really well for an example of the HD Horton Hears a Who! – Trailer to see what I mean by the HD. I love how they stream it without much of a problem. Now if that was going to be a Blu-Ray HD movie it would be crazy to try to stream it. I think HD will not die, it will however change if needed into a way to stream really good video and movies on the internet. I think we haven’t seen the HD and Blu-ray Wars going way soon. It will continue without much help from anyone. The way I see it, the world will always change and go about it’s business. I know there is always going to be a choice and I hope to see this type of competition more often with players.
