Reviewing the Logitech Anywhere MX Mouse

I recently purchased the Logitech Anywhere MX mouse, and I must say it is quite impressive. I wanted to talk about it some for those who are curious on how well it works.

I’ve put this through a series of test and I must make a comment “WOW“. I don’t say this often and I don’t say this enough from everything I have done with this mouse it still works magnificently. So let’s talk about:

Who can use this mouse?

Anyone can use this as far as I can tell. The size is just right for small, medium, and large hands. I am a large handed person and it still fits me comfortably. It weighs around one pound and can easily be taken anywhere you go with little or no effort.

Battery life?

I’ve tried leaving it on 7 days straight without turning it off and right now it has two Duracell Batteries, AA Size, in it when I started testing it. According to my meter it still has 85% of battery life on it and it has been 2 weeks. I would say the mouse battery life would last for several weeks 5 to 7 weeks is my estimate.

Unifying receiver stub?

The receiver for the mouse takes up one usb port and can be removed and stored in the leather case that comes with mouse. Although I just keep it to the laptop and it works when I need it to.  It takes so little room on the laptop that it is not going to be a big bother when I take the laptop with me.

Every surface I tried it worked on. It claims to work on the glass surfaces but I haven’t tried it. I have however tried my leg, my couch, and my floor and it works without a problem. I tried some restaurants and it works just fine their too. It slides on surfaces easily and works flawlessly. I’ve not had any trouble with this mouse since I got it.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who travels a lot or go places a lot with their laptop. It is also very good with playing games with. The sensitivity of the mouse makes it a good gaming mouse for those who like to play LAN parties or just wants a wireless option. I have been really impressed with this mouse and expect to buy another one when the time comes. This is great buy for me and I don’t regret buying this mouse for home and travel!

SUPERAntiSpyware My Review

Ok I have been using SUPERAntiSpyware for quite some time, I used the free version for about a year now.  Ever since I found a link on Computer America website.   Now let’s face it, in Anti-Virus software there are many different ones.   I talked about [intlink id=”3851″ type=”post”]Malwarebytes[/intlink] a few days ago now I want to talk about why you Should Buy SUPERAntiSpyware Pro.

Now let’s be fair about this, I was given a free lifetime version of the Pro version from Mike Duncan the Director of Business Development.  So I might be a little Biased but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t suggest to anyone who isn’t looking for a cheap alternative to buy a Anti-virus Software.

So with that said now we can talk about it a little more.  The Free Version is great don’t get me wrong but there are some key differences from the Free to the Pro Version.  Some of the things that I think are the most crucial points  for buying SUPERAntivirus Pro are:

  • System Diagnostics — Lets face it there are more and more virus, Trojans, and Malware being created each day and being used.  This is a great way to explore your system in even more details and find those really hidden viruses.

  • Auto Scanning — Very Important instead of just scanning when you think you have a virus.  You can schedule on a weekly or nightly basis when to do the scan and make sure your system keeps clean from infection.

  • Automatic Updates — With the free Version you can only update manually but with the Pro version, you can have it check for updates  every 8 hours.  After all there are viruses being discovered every hour in one part of the world!!

  • Registry Blocking and Real Time Protection — These two Go hand in  hand.  I have seen viruses come in many shapes and forms that will install without your knowledge these to help prevent this.   Although other Anti-Virus software does this to they cost more and have to pay on a yearly basis.

  • Supported Languages —  Danish, English, Spanish, Estonian, German, Hungarian,  Italian, Macedonian,  Norwegian, Polish,  Portuguese,  and Swedish.

Using Malwarebytes to get Rid of Malware

I have been using Malwarebytes for quite some time.  I have the Installer for Malwarebytes in place on a  USB drive so i can use anywhere I go. I have seen several computers with very old Viruses and this actually detected them.

[ad]How Malwarebytes useful

  • Malwarebytes has a really good protection module to help prevent infections in the first place, but that requires you to buy it.  It should never be used without at least a [intlink id=”2205″ type=”page”]firewall installed[/intlink] but it is a good defense against what I like to call a Drive by install.

  • Automatically create logs of Malware that is found — This is good to for people who want to be able to check out what might be infected.   Also good to help identify the virus or Trojan, and find out how to uninfected it.

  • Cheaper than buying AVG — Cost $24.95 which is half of the cost of buying AVG.

As you can see buying Malwarebytes can be cheaper than buying AVG or Norton and protects your almost as if you have a brand name.   I think if a customer can’t afford $50 this would be the next best thing to suggest being that it will at least protect the system.   You can always install a [intlink id=”2205″ type=”page”]Free Anti-virus[/intlink] along with Malwarebytes to better protect your system.   This is one way to not have to buy expensive antivirus and yet still protect your systems from Malware.

No matter if you Buy Malwarebytes or use the Free version you are better off then not having it.  With the Free Version you can’t unlocks real-time protection, scheduled scanning, and scheduled updating.  These can be done manually without the having any Real time Protect.   You can scan manually and Schedule manually without buying the full version.  This is still a good buy, I recommend this to all my customers.

  • Technical Support has been excellent.  Every time I call there hasn’t been nothing they would not do to help out.

  • You can become a Reseller for Godaddy if you want, and have a store if you want.   This is also makes it even easier for you to make and sell domains for cheap.

  • SSL Certificates — Keep your website secure and prevent people from getting information they shouldn’t.   This is good for businesses who have to sell using a credit card or registration for people information.

This is a good service for bloggers and podcasters who want to blog.   I have been using this service from [ad#Godaddy Name]and have been really impressed.  If you looking for a hosting this is the right place to go.   Although the support for [ad#Godaddy Name]is not the best, when I went through them for tech support.   They would tell me how to fix it and leave me do it myself but that is a good way to learn how to keep a website going.   I still recommend [ad#Godaddy Name]for people who want a dependable service.   Do you like or not like Godaddy?  I want to hear from you!  Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Star Trek Movie Experience — My Review

I had the chance to go see it Thursday and would like to talk aobut it:

*Spoiler Alert*

We start out with what I will call a Grandfather parodox, Kirk is born in a shuttle craft because the ship was being emergency Evacuation due to battle damage. Anyways Kirk dad is dead and this is where the Paradox comes into play, later in the movie you will hear “Older Spoker” tell Kirk about his dad. Listen hard and you will see where the paradox event comes into play.

[ad]Anyways this is the premise of the story, Time travel. We get to see how events unfold from the rebirth of Vulcan to the Kobayashi Maru, and How Kirk Handled the actual situation. We also see Physics come into play with Young Kirk jumping from a moving car and surviving. This however quite improbable but some would argue very impossible, see the link for more understanding.

Anyways the action was really good and I actually enjoyed the action pack adventure of James T. Kirk. I actually liked the comical word play going on with McCoy and Spock, and the also with Kirk. We must not forget about Scotty, His character was not seen until middle of the movie but his lines were spot on. We also must remember Uhura, Checkov, and Sulu who also make the movie more lighthearted and keeps the idea of the Origional characters upbringing really well. All in all, Gene Rodenberry dream has been quite well played out in this move because of the way the Director did produce the movie.

Other than some Minor scenes that are not suitable for kids under 12, everything else is an action pack adventure and when you leave the movie you will have a greater appreciation of Star Trek. I would say to anyone who has wanted to learn more about Star Trek to go see this movie, you will find out more about Vulcans, Romulans, and the back story of Kirk and the Crew. I give it an easy 5 stars review and encourage everyone to go see this. movie who is into Science Fiction.
