What a Secret is really worth and why! My Secret to you!

Secret Canyon Trail

A Secret!

When you mention you have a secret you probably get bombarded with “What is it?”.   I posted that I’ve got a secret on my Facebook page,  although I have gotten some people to like the post.   Other’s have actually come out to me and asked what my secret is. A few friends but what really surprised me was everyone of my family members, asked what it was.   Even my mother who doesn’t do Facebook was asking what my secret was.

The Secret Goes Viral!

If you have ever done something like this and gotten it to go viral.   You’d bee amazed at how many want to know your little secret.   I even had a few emails but I won’t say much about those.   It was such an amazing experience and just how much people want people to know the secret.

My Secret revealed!

So I am going to share with you my secret.  I gotten a chance to review a good little USB portable battery backup for your Cell phones and tablets.   It’s called RAVPower® Dynamo-On-the-Go backup battery pack and I will be doing a full review of this product in the coming months but I am so far really impressed.  They given me one for free to do a full test out on and see how well this worked with all my devices.   So you will see this probably next week or so and you might even be surprised.

Reviewing the Kyocera Rise by Virgin Mobile!

What about the HTC Inspire 4G!

I recently had to buy a new phone.   My HTC inspire got broken, sad to say but it does happen.   You know when you have to replace a  phone because of the screen glass is broken, kind of thing you don’t like to see happen.   It does though no matter how hard you try, it will happen eventually on most phones. Thank Good for the Worth Ave Group insurance coverage for Cell Phones, if i didn’t have that it would of been a pain to get this Cell phone.

A lot under the Hood!

There is a lot going on under that hood and I won’t go into much detail about this because I don’t want to bore you with details but what I will tell you is this:

  • Google Movies & TV — You can watch any show you own on Google with this little device.   So you can always keep up with shows or movies while on the Go!   I do suggest downloading them whenever possible using WIFI but it is still good to have while on the road!
  • Netflix — Although most phones do this it has the screen size to actually do a decent enough job of watching it through it!
  • Android 4.0 — I got mine with Android 4.0 but it had to be upgraded in firmware.   That is ok, it still is a nice phone!

The Kyocera Rise From Virgin Mobile is in fact a very good Phone.   I got signal where the HTC never did, although this is a 3G phone, it is still can go a lot more places.   I suspect it is because of the Sprint Network but it is only a guess.

I could go on and on about this phone but in all truth if you aren’t convinced now to buy it then you will never buy it.   I simply love this phone and it is going to be my main phone for quite a while until I can get enough money for even better phone maybe a Samsung Galaxy S3 or S2 from Virgin Mobile or Sprint, now that would be Sweet!

A lot of Sound from a Small device, a review of the Jam Wireless Speaker!

Simply Amazing!

I’m really impressed with this little device.   The Homedics Jam Wireless Portable Speaker is simply the best possible alternative for people on the go or needs to keep it small!

Specs of t his Speaker:

  • Incredible sound quality in a small footprint
  • Connects wirelessly up to 30 feet away
  • Works with all Blue tooth-enabled devices: smart phones, tablets and more..
  • Rechargeable for up to 4 hours of wireless play
  • Cost anywhere from 35$ to 45$ depends on where you look!

Colors:

  • Red (Strawberry
  • Blue (Blueberry)
  • Gold (Apricot
  • Purple (Grape
  • Grey (Blackberry
  • Green (Apple

So let’s get the break down on this little device.   I’ve had it over a day and I’m still quite impressed with the sound volume and quality.   I have been able to connect it to Belkin Mini Surge Protector Dual USB Charger, using a Micro USB Connector to keep it charged while playing music or other stuff from it.   You can also connect it to a Auxiliary Input and us it as a wired connect.   I simply love the Blue tooth capability of this device.  It can’t do bass if your looking for something that produces bass really a lot but it can be heard in a medium size room well enough to be easily listened to.  I’ve been able to connect this device to both my HTC inspire and the Acer A200 Tablet.

What next!

So you thought this would be a good device.   I’ve not found anything that I didn’t expect from this device.   It is cheaper than I’d thought but it does a really good job on volume and sound when you need a lot of volume and covers a medium room quite nice.  It also connects to almost all devices that you might have and thus can be used in multiple ways.   You can keep it plugged in and use it with your Tablet or Cell Phone.   Even using it with Netflix or something along that lines can be done because I’ve done it with my Tablet and it works extremely well!  All in all, For the price it a good quality device that does the job of others.   You won’t go wrong if you buy this device today!

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Review

Samsung has released its new Android based tablet called the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 [Affiliate Link]. The device seems promising as a lot things have been overhauled especially in the field of hardware. And speaking of hardware Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is equipped with 1.2GHz dual core processor along with the RAM of 1GB. As the name suggests it has 10.1 inch display with 1280 by 800 pixel resolution and display has been augmented with Samsung Touchwiz user interface. Running on Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0, the device comes with the storage capacity of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, each with different price tags. And if this is not enough for you external microSD card support is provided up to 32GB of external storage capacity. The rear 3 megapixel camera is accompanied with a flash; it also has a front facing camera of 0.3 megapixels for video conversation, also equipped with Wi-fi capability and 7000mAh battery. And all this will cost you at £250 or around $380 in the US.

In terms of design Galaxy 2 10.1 bears resemblance to its predecessor Galaxy Note 10.1 and the overall look of the device is not that much of a premium with its glossy white plastic casing. But keeping in mind the price and things it offers with just a trivial cost of £250, these minor aesthetic flaws can be overlooked.

Although the plastic case looks pretty shabby but it does have one benefit and that is portability. Samsung

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 measures at 9.7mm thin and weighs only 588g which makes it much lighter than its competitor Apple’s iPad. You can easily carry Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and you will barely feel any weight whereas iPad 3 is much heavier than Galaxy 2 10.1 and you can feel holding a heavier device.

As mentioned above it looks pretty similar to its predecessor Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the new Galaxy Tab is definitely much lighter and thinner than the old one. And it also has a bit expanded bezel which is made to house two large speakers. Although the design seems pretty attractive but it is true that Samsung has come up with alternative design because it is just being cautious not to get tangled in any legal quarrel with its nemesis Apple.

As compared to the new iPad, Samsung Galaxy 2 certainly has a better screen. It is integrated with huge 10.1 inch with 1280×800 resolution display, something iPad 3 does not have. On our hands on test it worked quite impressive and we found no issue with the viewing angles as well. Although we did notice little pixel flaw on few occasions but overall it provided clear and vivid display which would certainly provide with sharper visuals for gaming, enhancing the gaming experience.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 [Affiliate Link] does have a larger screen and high resolution display than the iPad but with iPad’s 246ppi pixel density the images on iPad look much more clearer than on Galaxy Tab 2 which has 149ppi pixel density. So, in a nutshell Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a nice device with the ability to give Apple strong competition.

Playing with the Apple iPad 2, My Experiences!

The Apple Tax is something that isn’t desired!

Although playing with this tablet has been something of a dream for me. I thought it would be good to talk about how they charge higher than normal prices for their products. My sister let me play around with her Apple iPad 2 Tablet(64GB, Wifi, Black). After playing around with the tablet, I must say I like this little portable Netflix player. I got to watch movies and play games like Angry Birds Freeand it seems to hold it’s own. I even am tempted to buy Amazon Prime because I could now watch all the Star Trek Episodes ever made.

I’m not saying that it isn’t nice but it is something to consider when you do decide if you want to buy this tablet. So I have been playing around with it from time to time and I thought this would be a great time to talk about the advantages and disadvantages.

It’s sleek design is nice!

Even though I commented about the price, I really do like the way it feels and handle and how intuitive it is. I like the fact that it has 64 Gigabytes of storage for like movies and tv shows that you can take with you on long rides and watch or listen to. It even has a well placed speaker that does really well for the size of the tablet. It seems to be just heavy enough and fast enough to be a very useful portable computer. I even had no major problem with the way the keyboard when chatting with people on Facebook and other social media sites. I could possibly even blog with this tablet if I really wanted to but that would not be very effective in my line of blogging.

It is easily smudged!

This is a down side of using the tablet. You will see smudges from fingers and everything imaginable and there is no way around it. There are several types of screen protectors that would probably do the job but have yet to invest in one to see if there is going to be a noticeable difference. I will investigate this even more and probably do another report on those who might want to buy one. If you have and want to tell me about your experiences then feel free to leave a comment. I welcome in input anyone has on this, since I am really new at this.

Very touchy screen!

I’m really not saying it is a big problem because it isn’t. You however have a choice to be gentle to this and not have to worry about how hard you press. The slightest touch can do what you want. I have however know how hard it is to keep kids from touch the screen so that can be an issue. This however is something that can be good and bad in the same process.

Keep the Kids happy!

Hey I don’t mean to say this is going to be the best possible way to keep the kids from screaming in the car but this is however a great option as to watching videos and other such things in the car while traveling. They can even play Angry birds, If your worried about them destroying the Ipad and you want something that does do videos and other games, you could invest in an Ipod and let them play games or watch videos with it.

All in All, I like it!

It isn’t like I am biased against Apple but I do think they have their issues. For one thing the idea that their systems will never get a Virus is something that I have preached in the past and will always preach. Their Operating Systems will never be secure and that is something they have yet to learn.

I talk about it more later!
