Those get rich quick schemes are doubtful

I was on Twitter and I saw this message from someone I am following.   Talking about how to make 171,161.08 a month.

Ok before we go any further you would have to see the name Oprah Winfrey (see Above for Photo of Account) just like the name of the [intlink id=”3501″ type=”post”]one who just came on to twitter[/intlink].    Now is this a true name or just a fake account?  I’ll let you decide that because it looks like it is just random tweets with the same URL.    This to me is looking more and more like spam.  Back to the site, it is call Maverick Money Makers.

[ad]As you can tell this is like every other get rich page I’ve seen trying to tell you will make insane amount of money in a few minutes a day.  So I decide to go to another page unrelated to this page and you will get.

So now this is what keeps making me wonder if it isn’t just a scam because Like the virus alerts you get where they try to keep you on the page.   I’ve also did some research and find that there was a post about this being a scam on Yahoo Answers but strangely it was deleted.   I don’t know how long that cache copy of the question will be there, so I took pictures of the questions and answers to better help you decide for your self about why it was deleted.  See The gallery pictures for more information.

I won’t say if it is actually a scam or not but everything that I’ve seen tries to get you to buy this stuff and tries to make you think you will make money easily.   My thought of this is that you will never make money quick and you will have to work hard for it.   I expect this blog to make money later on down the road like other blogs that have been on the net for a long time.  I however know that making money from the internet is never quick.   Everything I’ve made takes time and effort on my part.

New address cnuncn.com, old Yahoo email

In my Previous Email about yahoo [intlink id=”3330″ type=”post”]email accounts being use[/intlink]d and then their contacts being deleted.  I recently came across another post about this email but with a new address so I go to the site and see and It looks like the old one:

cnuncnyahooemail

It looks like this site was registered on 9-27-08 and Looks like the other site nekcn.com:

nekcnyahoospam1

[ad#cricket-right-ez]As you can see this looks like the other one, both of them are Chinese websites.  I have heard from one or two users that this is a Scam website trying to scam you out of money.  I am also sure the scammer just started doing this with the emails due to my previous post about this site. I wouldn’t purchase anything on these sites. I have created a Forum area to discuss Email scams like this one and warn others of new scams like this one.   I hope you warn the person who sends this out that they have been compromised and should reset there password.  This is one way to gain control over your account.

Remember there are sites out on the net that [intlink id=”3407″ type=”post”]would like to get your email account or your Facebook account [/intlink]and spam people.  The reason being is that contacts people have with each other are more likely to get through the spam filters to the person.   The Email reads:

Dear friend:

What are u doing these days?I am going to recommend a Eshop to you.Yesterday I found a web of a large trading company from China, which is an agent of all the well-known digital product factories, and facing to both wholesalers, retailsalers, and personal customer all over the world. They export all kinds of digital products and offer really competitive and reasonable price and high quality goods for their clients,so i think you will make a big profit if you did business with them. And they promise they will provide the best after-sales-service.If you are interested to do business with them,in my opinion, you can make a trial order to test that.

Their Web address: www.cnuncn.com or www.nekcn.com

In case someone has a question about this, please feel free to post to Forums and someone will answer it.  It is a good idea to install [intlink id=”2205″ type=”page”]Free Anti-virus and Firewall[/intlink] software to better protect your system.

Yet another Turn For Yahoo, They lay off 1,500 people.

As much as I like Yahoo, they decide to lay off workers due to money. It’s really not un-expected due to the fact that they’ve been doing poorly.

Yahoo began laying off 1,500 workers on Wednesday as part of a plan, announced in October, to slash expenses by $400 million a year. The cost cutting, however, may have to go deeper in the coming year.

[New York Times]

[ad#ad2-left]Now we know the Google and Yahoo planned on getting together but that went south due to the Lawsuit.  Some think Yahoo’s systems is flaky and is bound to fail.  Although I don’t know much of the back story, I’d just wanted to let my readers know about Yahoo.  If you want to read the other articles on Layoffs by all means.   I also suggest people search my site for some good tid bits

Rumor: GE to be the next to layoff its workers!!

GE to Layoff 11,000 Workers!! GE to Layoff it workers!

According to sources of friends close to me, their seems to be a consensus that there will be a major layoff coming from GE. My source is talking about it being a lot of people will be laid off and that it will start happening in the coming weeks.

According to Yahoo Finance saying this “52 week change of GE is -50.86% from last year. ”

[ad#ad2-right-1]Now last year this time there Stock Price was 38.38 a Share and now they are 18.60 a share.  They dropped -19.78 over the year.   The seemed to get close to the 38.38 a share on April 4, 2008 with making  37.56 a share.  That was there highest this year, due to the fact that people were getting there income tax refunds in the mail.    Also NYSE says they had a slight increase in July and Aug, that is due to the Stimulus package that we got in 2008.

Now I’m not a financial expert in the least.  I just see what I see with stock prices.  These could mean they are doing extremely well, or they could indicate that the company is planning on laying people off.  I’m just trying to provide a background on why they might lay people off.  We are getting to he point of becoming a Depression and no longer a Recession.  What do you think?

It’s Offical, Calicanis says Your on your own.

In the Newsletter, Calicanis says this:

As a startup, you are now, officially, on your own. You can’t count on
your VCs saving you or some magical offer from Yahoo or Google showing
up to bail you out. Chances are Yahoo and Google are going to be
shutting down and/or selling off companies they’ve already
bought–like EBAY and AOL have started doing. Parents don’t adopt
while they’re putting their kids up for adoption.

Now I don’t know about you but I am really worried about what people are going to do next. Some other things Jason said is that the storm is upon us. That’s right, in the next thirty days you will have to figure out how to survive. It won’t be easy. Is this the beginning or the ending of this so called storm? I say only time will tell. I hope this becomes a rebound soon. We are definitely in for the long haul.
