The Back Story!

267232_300x250USAWhen I first started asking questions like “What is Intimacy?”  I was trying to figure out how to get that feeling back.   Most people if not all want to have some kind of intimacy with someone who they care about.   It isn’t abnormal to want to as they say feel close to someone and have a physical attraction to someone.   I’ve even started looking for someone who I could possibly be intimate with.  Even though I failed at my last relationship and got a divorce it isn’t over for me.   I’m going to keep looking for that one person who can make me happy and I can make them happy.  I’ve seen the movie “Fireproof” [Affiliate Link] and I actually liked it.  It is Christian based and thus if you don’t believe in the believe then this movie isn’t for you.   I even got the book to go along with the movie, which is Called “The Love Dare” [Affiliate Link]! It does require you think about the other person and to be intimate with them by asking questions.   I honestly think my ex-wife has tried that with me in the last few weeks she keeps asking me how I am doing and such.   I usually don’t respond because it is something that bothers me with her.   We would always argue and get my Blood Pressure to go up.   So After the break up, my Blood Pressure has dropped significantly and I am much happier.   So I am not saying we will never get back together but it doesn’t look good!

Can you be Inimate while using Technology?

I say it is possible, because each of us have a busy life.   It isn’t a substitute by all means but it can be a way to communicate and still be intimate with the person you care about and want to be open with.  You should know it can be very hard to show your defenses are down when you are typing a message or texting because the other person can’t really see your face or hear your voice.   This is the limitations of technology, although we know have Apps like Face time, it can still be hard to have those intimate encounters.   Intimacy requires no firewall per say, it is us being who we are with not acting.   Even I know that we sometimes act different to show off or to look or be smarter.   It is that sort of thing why we desire to be ourselves.   It is far easier to not worry about being judged then to wonder how we are doing and worrying all the time.

How to use Technology to be Intimate!

I’ll say this, you will have to be creative when it comes to this part of it.   I will however give you a few ideas to try to help you along your way.   Nothing out of the ordinary but it can be really nice to show you care!

  • Texting — keep the communications going doing the day.   Show them you want to talk.   It isn’t always easy but it is necessary!
  • Emails — If you can write emails to your significant other this is one way to communicate with her.   You could do this daily if you prefer but it must be done as if you are writing to that special someone.
  • Use Social networks — If you both have a social network that you both use then this would also be good.   Just remember if you want it private don’t make the mistake of making it public.
  • Record Video — You have several options but you can always use Youtube to post to just remember that those are public.  It is a good way to get a little face time with your other half.

Well these were just a few ways that I could suggest to help you keep intimacy, I am sure there are quite a few ways but I want to you to be creative.  Creativity helps you be more intimate with your partner and thus it is just as important how you do it then what you do.

Google Chromebooks — Looks can be deceiving!

Laptops don’t last forever!

I know I’ve had this Acer Aspire 5739G for over 3 years now and it is showing quite a bit of wear and tear.   It looks like I might need to invest a new laptop to do all of what I need with it.  So I’ve been doing a little research and found the Acer C7 Chromebook [Affiliate Link].   It has the Chrome OS so it should be interesting to say the least. Some of the Specs of this Chrome Book is:

Screen Size 11.6 inches
Screen Resolution 1366×768
Max Screen Resolution 1366 x 768
Processor 1.10 GHz Phenom Dual-Core
RAM 2.00 GB
Hard Drive 320 GB HDD 5400 rpm
Chipset Brand Intel
Wireless Type 802.11bgn

Small but powerful!

As you can see this isn’t a really powerful notebook. I really don’t think I need a powerful notebook to be able to do what I need to online.   I’ve been using the my Acer Tablet more and more to do just what needs to be done.   I’ve not really been using my notebook, well lets face it, it is going to break sooner or later and I am trying to only use it for the blogging and other such stuff like that.   Everything that I need to do is being done with my Tablet and I’m have no problems with it.   I can watch movies and shows from it when I need to and It is small enough to take just about anywhere.   The only problem I may have with it is the ability to use it a notebook.   This is where I will need an actual notebook that isn’t to big or to bulky to take with me from time to time.

Installing Another OS!

267232_300x250USA

If I get this, I might just have fun and install Kubuntu on it but that is after I check out the Chrome OS and see how it is.   I’ve not order this Chromebook just yet because I am going to wait and see how to buy it.   I am however quite interested in the promises it says up to 4 hours of battery life.   Will it last 4 hours without a charge that is a good question.  I’ve read one writers experience with at least one version of the Chrome OS.  So this makes me wonder if I will have the same problem with the OS as they had with it.

Don’t need everything!

I don’t really need everything but it would be nice to blog and use it offline, so I might have to install Kubuntu when I and IF I get it.   I’m one of those that knows that it isn’t the end of the world if you find it not working just perfectly.   I will however explore other options and notebooks if I find something that will work under 300$.   I’m currently can only spend that much money on a notebook or laptop to be able to blog with.   So I am going to look around and see.   If you know of any good notebooks that you would recommend leave a comment or contact me and let me know.   I’d love to find out which one(s) your using and why!

3 Goals for Google Play: More TV Categories, Better UI, and a Stricter App Policies!

Google Play needs improvement!

Lately, I’ve been thinking how Google play could be even better place.   I know I’m not the only one to think this and I’ve already talked about Google Play: TV and Movies but I thought it about it.   I’ve pretty much decided that I should tell you some other areas where Google needs to improve upon.   After all, if Google wants to win people over they will need to start out competing every one else.

Better User Interfaces!

I’m not saying that the UI has been disappointing but I will say that it needs much more work.   You can’t really expect to bring people to your side without some fixing of the UI.   I have tried to see where Google was coming in the past but it seems that everytime I try to figure that out, I get stuck and can’t go any farther.

Navigation!

It not asking to much I don’t think to be able to navigate through the Google Play store without having to keep going back to the beginning.   It would be nice to have more Swipe side to side to move between areas or places in the Google Play store!

I can do the swiping from side to side on certain areas of the Google Play store but it seems so unusual to do because you wouldn’t expect to do it in those areas so you have to look for clues.

More TV Categories!

I’ve suggested this to Google in the past and yet they still don’t want to implement this one.   It seems kinda strange not to want to add more TV Categories to there Video section but that just might be something that they are unwilling to do just yet.   They have it done that with the Movie section but not the TV Section of their Google Play Store!  I am only hoping they fix this and make it more user friendly and make it easier to find Shows that you may want to watch.   I’d love to see a Science Fiction Category but that isn’t something that is available just yet!

Stricter App Policies!

This one is the biggest and hardest to understand.  Lately the apps are getting rediculous and harder to find that are actually free.   Some Apps have in the past been consider malware, while others are claiming to be free but yet you really only get a DEMO of the APP.  Even one Reddit user has started keeping track of some of these Apps.

Even the Apps have been know to use push notification on Advertising, which seems kinda like a way for them to make money at our expense.   I hate those types where they just constantly send ads to your notification when your driving or doing something that your can’t be bothered with.   I had one game that would do that constantly and I removed it.   So when I say this shouldn’t be allowed, you see where Google needs to improve upon.

We know sex sells but let’s keep it out of the Google Play Apps and other places like that.   This should be a clean store and not having all the porn and stuff easily accessible to kids and teenagers.  If Google wants to make money this would be my first place to look to change.   Most people will go other places to buy their apps just to avoid all the problems you have with the Google Play store.

Day 23: Do you believe in Destiny?

Changes

Anyone can achieve their fullest potential!

I am going to change my destiny and challenge it.   I beat this isn’t the first time you’ve heard that saying.   Do you believe you have a destiny?  Destiny is like a fickle cat, but that is not something that you have not heard before.

My Blogging Experience!

I wanted to blog for 30 days, but it wasn’t for the lack of trying!  It was after all something I wanted to do, but time and work can be a very difficult thing to do when you want to blog.  Your exhausted and sleepy, these are what makes us human.   We can’t run 24 hours non stop we need to take breaks and sleep and relax.   Most people don’t know how to relax, they just go through the day to day routines non stop.   Day in and day out, when you finally get to the point of utter exhaustion, that is when you know to take a breath and change!

Change is always preferable!

Change can be a preferable way to get things done.   In this article, I’m going to point out a few ways to help you change.   Call these a quick tips for change.   Although you will need to adapt these to your circumstances, I don’t see any reason why these won’t help you in your long journey of change!

  • Be accountable — if your can have accountability your more than likely going to change and not stay where you are!   It isn’t as if your want to stay the same.   Find someone or something to help you change!
  • Change routines — even if your have a great routine, sometimes just changing one thing can make a difference in your wanting to change.   Call it a way to take small steps.   If your not going to walk like a toddler and learn from your mistakes you will not be able to change!
  • Volunteer — Find something to be active in.   This is a great chance to be the change as some would call it.   You don’t have to do anything major but do work on baby steps activities!

These are my tips that should help you change.   If you take tiny steps you can make the changes you want to make.   I am making my own changes and and hope that you make some changes yourself.   You can do anything you want if you make the effort.

How Facebook can interfere with your life and How to Disconnect from Facebook!

Facebook

Facebook is so Popular!

When Facebook started in 2005, it wasn’t really a big deal.   No one knew what it would be today.  You probably didn’t even know about Facebook until two or three years ago.  I would even guess that you were pressured into getting an Facebook account.   Even though you should worry about your Facebook Security Settings, this isn’t going be about that.   It however is going to be talking about how to Disconnect from Facebook!

Why Would I want to do that?

There will be some of you who will probably ask this one question and I could give you several answers but there is only one real answer.   Productivity!  Disconnecting from Facebook will make you more productive in anything you do and will keep your attention on what needs to be done.

The Extreme case!

You can delete your account and be totally disconnected from Facebook but that is the worse case scenario and I will not recommend that to anyone even my friends or family.  Although I’ve heard this happen it isn’t the best choice for some of you who like to keep in touch with family members and share photos with.

Disconnect me Please!

This is a services and a plugin that helps block Facebook and others such social sites.   It will help you speed up your browsing and keep your privacy safe so I highly recommend Disconnect.me which was also talked about on Security Now.

Remove all Facebook Apps!

If you have a smartphone and a tablet, this is something that is a must if you want to keep from being interrupted and slowing down your productivity.   By removing these apps from all your devices, you will not get the urge to go check Facebook or have those notifications coming to you.

Finally Check Facebook Once a Day!

If your like me you will undoubtedly want to keep your account and thus you will want to at least check it once a day.   I suggest either morning or night depending on your work or sleep schedule to go online through the web and see what is going on.   I would however say the less you spend on Facebook the easier it is to keep from wanting to be connected with it.   So get on check and get off.   Don’t spend to long on their exploring and playing games.    Remember why you did all this and you will be far better off then when you started.
