I used the VMware Tools v1.0.3-44356 provided by VMware Server v1.03.

A very good article and I might have to try it out on my Vista OS, to see how fast of an improvement it does on the LINUX side of it.

Demonoid is BACK!

Downtime

We received a letter from a lawyer represeting the CRIA, they were threatening with legal action and we need to start blocking Canadian traffic because of this.

Thanks for your understanding, and sorry for any inconvenience.

Well, the CRIA was involved. You can now go to demonoid.com without a problem. Go check it out.

Microsoft’s “Falcon” Xbox 360 Is Here. Kind of.

If you’re like us, you’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Microsoft’s “Falcon” Xbox 360s, well, now they’re here. Apparently. The guys over at the Xbox official forums have noticed that the Halo edition 360s may just be the Falcons we’ve all dreamed about. The Falcon Xbox 360, by the way, has a 65nm CPU and is supposed to run cooler and, ideally, not die after three days, which is a nice change. The posters in the forums have torn theirs apart to show you what the innards of a Falcon may look like. Hit the link below to check out the pics. [Xbox Forums]

Nice I think I’ll get that instead of the an old XBOX 360 at least it would be a better speed!!

“Heroes” and “Prison Break” Torrents Tracked by MiiVi.org

The latest episodes of Heroes and Prison Break have been downloaded over a million times already. However, quite a few paranoid downloaders noticed that the .torrent files, apparently released by EZTV, were using the MiiVi.org tracker. A trap perhaps?

No, Miivi.org has nothing to do with the alleged honeypot project from MediaDefender which was hosted on MiiVi.com. On the contrary, the Miivi tracker is a project in part sponsored by The Pirate Bay and other BitTorrent sites.

Don’t they know they have already been exposed at Media-defenders with a new name and new look. Hmm, wonder when they will release that if they will at all!!

iPhone 1.1.1 “bug” unleashes music over Bluetooth

The iPhone 1.1.1 update has a hidden little surprise for y’all: Bluetooth audio streaming is now available off of your iPhone for whatever you darn please, meaning you can finally listen to music from the phone wirelessly. Oddly enough, this “function” has been unleashed by a Visual Voicemail bug that leaves Bluetooth audio on even after you’ve left the Voicemail interface. Of course, it’s only mono audio, and the audio keeps playing out of your built-in speaker — if you plug in headphones to cut off the speaker you’ll lose Bluetooth streaming as well — but it’s nice to see Apple forking over some “should have been there in the first place” functionality accidentally to go along with all that stuff of the same ilk 1.1.1 took away from us.

I wonder if this is going to stay?
