I found this video online and thought I would post it:

As you can tell you won’t be able to use Twitter with Cricket phones but they are working on it. I however have been use [intlink id=”3065″ type=”page”]A600 Broadband Modem[/intlink] with Twitter without a problem. I have been using Tweetdeck as my platform of choice to use Twitter.

Although you can use the web based version Twitter, you won’t be able to SMS with Twitter just yet. I do hope they fix this really quickly, because I’d like to be able to use my phone to receive important updates.  I expect them to fix this in  the coming months when they bring out some new phones.  [intlink id=”3620″ type=”post”]Recently Cricket has let out the Smart Phones, with the Email capabilities[/intlink].   These phones, that have the email capabilities, can be used in conjunction with Twitter.  I talk about ways to use the newest phones to connect them with Twitter.

  1. I use http://twittermail.com“ rel=”nofollow”>twittermail.com to send updates to Twitter on my Circket phone via picture messages. At least that works for now, as for getting updates…that would be cool if you don't follow too many people LOL

  2. I'd really like to see this happen soon. I don't have web for my cricket phone for a few reasons and this is what's keeping me from really utilizing Twitter yet. Its a good start that Cricket posted this video and they seem so be taking an active roll in this. Having a data services engineer post this is just a hint that the real problem is going to be the sheer tsunami of bandwidth opening up Twitter to SMS on the network is going to impose. I understand a little better why they haven't opened this can of worms. Thanks for this post! (found via Google search)

  3. Yes I would love to have that myself, it would change the dynamic of Cricket. Possibly increase the revenues for the company in the long run being that there is no contract needed to use Twitter. We will have to wait and hope they do this in the future. I'd sure like it to happen myself!!!
